If Aciphex is the only thing that works, but it's too expensive? My husband is currently on Aciphex, the best thing he has found to help his reflux. Unfortunately we are unable to afford the prescription. I was wondering if anyone knows the best medicine after he can take that will not be as expensive.
You can try Prilosec OTC. It is just as effective as Rx Aciphex.
Prevacid OTC will travel by the end of the year.
You can try NeedyMeds.com. Go to the letter and find drugs. He will tell you if the company can give you some financial assistance. For people on Medicare or who have a high copay, some companies will give you a discount card that works with your insurance. If you do not have insurance, you can usually get a 90-day supply for free or a small fee. Just follow the instructions carefully. You could also see if your doctor has samples. Let your doctor know that you can not afford it, then the next time the representative drug comes in, they may think of your husband.
Good luck! Prilosec is probably the best to come. If your insurance covers, it can be cheaper than buying over the counter. I would also like to speak to a pharmacist.
RxTech
Next best medication is Prilosec OTC. You can take 2 per day - a 30 minutes before breakfast and 30 minutes before dinner. Can I take it like that and I also take 150 mg of ranitidine at bedtime, with all instructions from my doctor.
