I suffer from severe headaches, nobody knows the best treatment for a migraine? Imatrex I tried, no help! I also have an allergy to NSAIDs, morphine and codeine.
Magnesium deficiency can cause headaches. The nuts are rich in magnesium.

I read somewhere that eating almonds every day helps for migraines ......
I also suffer from migraines and no medication was helping. I just suffer the pain and the only things I found for the relief of the ice is a cushion of cold rice. I started making these several years ago and they are awsome on the headache. I nearly cover the head and neck with all of these blocks and I do get relief, not total, but it really helps. If you need to know where to get one or more contact me. Just a note I do sell more, so I'm not trying to sell my products.
Keep a mental note of what is triggering the episodes. You can find a certain situation, smell or the environment is always someone to blame and what you can do your best to avoid these triggers, or at least understand that these triggers can cause headache and prepare yourself. Some people with chronic migraines often turn to the ancient arts of yoga and acupuncture to conserve energy and prevent stress in their lives, thereby reducing the number of migraines they suffer.
Many migraine sufferers can not do anything more than sleep the headache off. A friend of mine says that when her headaches occur, even the light cast by a small lamp in his room sends small daggers of pain through his eyes, which is simply holes in his room and shut all the curtains and blinds, hiding under a pillow (to remove any noise) and he sleeps off. Drink plenty of water each day and do some exercise several times a week (even if it is simply walking around the block to get some fresh air every night) were also known to reduce the number suffered from migraines. You can also try to push a block of ice instead of your head that hurts the most. Some also suffer swear by massage weekly or monthly to maintain their lives without stress and, therefore, not possible triggers.
I have the same thing and had many prescriptions they gave me all knockout. Excedrin Migraine I took a little time, but lately I've been using Advil I took like 4 or 5 at a time, but its bad! I found that I must take something before it is bad or it does nothing! It may also depend on how you sleep at night. try a roll neck.
Have you tried the injectable form of Imitrex? When it first came out which was the only method of delivery. It has changed my life, it does not cure all the headaches, but it is about 90%. Then they came up with a system of oral administration, the doctor has prescribed the pills and they were worthless to me. Now that the pills are widely available, I wonder about people who are never given the opportunity to use the injectable form.
Others I've never found a med that Imitrex helped. The best I could do was make a cold compress with the oil of peppermint, lay in a dark, quiet and try to rest. Put a few drops of oil in a bowl of ice water and use it to wet a washcloth, put it on your forehead and eyes. The odor helps somehow. I do two paintings and put one in a plastic bag in the freezer for when the first heats. The cold is better. I leave the bowl of scented water sitting in the room I'm in.
I've had people tell me that the establishment in a hot bath while wrapping their bags of ice in the head is good. My problem was that I felt too ill to worry about running a bath and the preparation of several ice packs. You know you always wear sunglasses and a hat when you are o.
