Blocked Nose

Blocked NoseWhat do I know my son stuffy nose?

Question:

My teenage son has suffered from a stuffy nose since he was a toddler. Numerous visits to the doctor did not help. A nasal spray had little effect, although it does not use it regularly. Her symptoms worsen always this time of year. I would like your opinion.

Answer:

The nose is the main passageway for air entering the respiratory system. The first part of the passageway is called the vestibule, which lies in the soft part of nose in front. The hall is covered with a layer of cells that contain coarse particles of dust trap insects and the like, and prevent them from entering the nasal cavity. The rear portion of the nasal folds of cartilage (cones), which protrude into the nasal cavity. These cones are surrounded by layers of wet cells. As air passes through the horn, it is humidified and warmed up or cooled depending on the temperature outside.

The lining of the bone behind the nose is generally kept moist by the secretions of various sinuses that surround the nasal cavity. Any excess secretions of the sinuses due to infection, such as a cold, or more discharge of mucus due to allergies or foods that produces mucus (see right), can block the nose. drain tears, too, why you get a stuffy nose, if you've been crying too.

The partition in the nose that separates the two passages is called the septum. You can see in many adults that turns or bends to one side, which can cause the permanent blocking of the nostril. In my opinion, a baby is not born with a deviated septum, but it has taken due to birth trauma (forceps delivery or very fast, very slow or difficult labor) or after being breastfed more than one side, which leads them to sleep on the side.

The inner lining of the nose is full of small blood vessels (capillaries) that help keep it moist. When pollen allergies or particles or chemicals coming into contact with the coating, blood vessels dilate so that the liquid rises to flush out the enemies of these ". The same thing happens when a virus attacks the wall: you get a runny nose first, then a stuffy nose that the coating becomes inflamed. Over-the-counter nasal drip are designed to constrict blood vessels so that the judgments of discharge, swelling decreases and the nose emerges. The problem is that if you use these drops over a long period, they cease to have effect on blood vessels and nerve endings, so they stop working and the nose is permanently blocked.

These are my suggestions to help your son

* The role of mucus-producing foods is often disputed, but it is quite obvious. If you eat hot peppers, your nose runs and your face flushes as blood vessels dilate. The same response is likely to occur if you eat many dairy products, citrus fruits, frozen carbonated beverages (which cools the body, triggering a reaction to cold type), rice, bananas and fried foods. You must avoid these foods when you or your family has a stuffy nose.

* Also avoid products containing yeast and canned foods with preservatives (which are often the cause of discharge), alcohol (including wine and champagne, which may contain traces of mold that can trigger a reaction) and mushrooms (which are fungal products).

* On the other hand, foods such as mustard, ginger, garlic, cherries, pomegranates, ginseng, yam, basil, cinnamon, cloves and thyme are known to reduce the excess mucus, then try increasing your intake of the latter's son.

* Ensure mullayan against constipation, which is growing flow of mucus, drink eight glasses of water at room temperature every day and take qurs, an herbal supplement, a three times weekly at bedtime for three months.

* Take sepistan lauq, a herbal preparation to help you.
