Would a nerve block to help destroy the nerves that cause cervical dystonia? And if it would work, so why can they, the doctor and then, once the muscles involved were identified from the nerve block while it is possible for them to cure cervical dystonia or other movement disorders with a block permanent nerve, such as Luna? I used cervical dystonia as an example so that you can study what I'm talking to you tell me what you think. I want to say thank you for your answers and have a blessed day.
I'm not sure anyone woud want to destroy the nerves, per se, for cervical dystonia when there are options such as Botox that are effective in treating such conditions.
Contact a specialist, for example, a neurologist, dermatologist, physiatrist to check to see if you are a candidate for such treatment.
I wish you good luck.
No, but a block of phenol help cervical dystonia, but we must be careful with the dosage.
Although known as "block perineural, such as phenol with aqueous concentrations below 2% only have local anesthetic properties. It can cause microvascular damage the nerve, but no destruction of major nerve.
At concentrations above 3%, phenol denatures proteins and destroys the nerve with degeneration of axons.
I do not know why they would resort to the destruction of nerves when they can actually restore normal function by going to a chiropractor. Here is an article on CD and Chiropractic http://www.erinelster.com/ConditionsDeta ...
