Policy

I think there was a travel company in the United States that sent U.S. travelers to Cuba since the mid 90s to mid 2000s. Something like 10,000 passengers, usually Canada or what not. Nevertheless, the government has discovered a large fine pat.

Besides, do we as Canadians Cuban, no less? Our money is as valid as theirs.

Because Dubya tightened the embargo that has been in place since the early '60 's. Now, the only people who are allowed to bring all elements of return from Cuba are Cuban nationals, and the only things they are allowed to return to publications such as newspapers and magazines. Everything else is subject to seizure, confiscation and destruction by Customs.

Personally, I would like to march our troops to Cuba and take over on behalf of all Cubans who took the boat and came to America to escape Castro's dictatorship and inhuman. Then we could get rid of the embargo and to establish a free trade relationship with Cuba, which would help the two countries. But hey, what do I know, eh?
