Is chest pain, headaches and red eyes of a symptom to expect a new blood pressure med. ? Currently I am taking Micardis 80mg, 180mg st Dilitiazem, 20/12.5mg HCT Lisinopril and I took 200mg Toprol XL and three days ago my doc took me Toprol and I started on a new med. under the name of Coreg 12.5 to take twice a day. With the change of med I had headaches and pains in the chest with red eyes and I do not know if this is somthing can expect to get to the med in my system or whether it could be protected by a kind of reaction.
I do not think that is correct and I would call right away. Sometimes you have to try 5 different medications before finding what works for you. Headaches are a sign of blood pressure. My husband takes Hyzar and I think he needs something else. He has had frequent nosebleeds. Call your doctor immediately or go to the emergency. Chest pain should never be a side effect, if they were normal your doctor has told you that.
I suffer from hypertension which is treated with medication. I had to try 5-6 different types of medicines before finding the right one for me. If it were me, I would say that the pharmacy where I got my prescription filled, give them my symptoms and get their opinion. Or better yet, call your doctor. High blood pressure is not something I want to play with. Also, I invested in a blood pressure monitor at home. Really glad I did.
No bercause when starting a new drug every CCAN symptoms occur. if symptoms two months or more stat call a doctor.
