To hear stories about addiction? I want to know your experiences or your personal friends and effects on family relationships. How does you or your family feel now about addiction?
My grandfather died in 2004. I was in 4th grade. He was told by the doctor that he drank more alcohol or smoking more if he would die on Christmas day he got a pack of bears and some cigarettes and went to his apartment where he died . My extended family is full of drug addicts, alcoholics and smokers of both sides of his suck was a human intelligence. 15 and now im left with a single grandmother because all my grandparents on both sides are drunk they are dead. and I do not know most of my cousins, everyone tells stories about how they have always known how they and their cousins and their cousins were always a blast. but i cannot ever know how fun it is to play with my cousins because their dependence on one or the other thing and my parents do not want me around this stuff. and sucks for them and for me and I'll never tell my grandfather came this Christmas I saw my grandfather this weekend. because the drug controlled their lives.
I work at the prison.
I could not begin to tell you all the sad stories. Thousands of girls in their 20s who have sold their self-esteem for a touchdown.
My uncle was (and is) an addiction to methamphetamine. It is in an asylum at the present time, treatment. My cousin tried to commit suicide because of it. We could not go anywhere for help because they all live in Canada. Sigh.
Sorry, it's a bit depressing, but I can say that you're really interested. Substance abuse was a monster. A monster that never stops. I almost got hooked once, but I'm glad that I did not. God thank you. I hear the crash is worse and deeper than the top, so I refused.
Again my uncle ... He is finally recovered. If anything, I am closer with my cousin because I told him no and he actually cried. The punk rocker cried! And now we're best friends.
And ... why did you want to know what new?
I'll stop talking to your ears now, lol, and I hope everything goes well for you and your fam ...

Some close friends of mine have had their part in addiction. Primarily with pain pills. One of them is like a brother to me. It was horrible to look through this. When someone is addicted to a substance they lie, steal, and do or say anything to you to make you think other wise and they are correct. This is simply not the case, you should see beyond this general and what is not so difficult to. I would never advise someone to think you know who has an addiction problem to go "cold turkey" because it is very dangerous and bad for their health. It is always the worst for the immediate family members as they see what is happening to their relatives and their relatives realive or what they do for themselves. People who have a problem will never admit it. I remember my family and friends call me crying in the middle of the night, saying they could not find their son and it was up to no good. They needed help to try to trace because they were heavily involved for their well-being. As a friend or family member, it is very important to make sure that your loved one is surround yourself with positive people. Their influences are a FACOR important in their recovery.
and my personal story is .....
I heard this guy at my 14th birthday that u can get high deodrant, so I tryed last night with my friend, I'm hooked straight to the bottom, so I went to spray and cook (a better), but used both. daily average was about 2-5 boxes deodrant or round about 1-2 boxes Sprey and Cook, my parents noticed that my friends was changing, I picked up swearing (not much tho ), i na care.
