Will I have a lifetime of heartburn? I went to the doctor with blood in the stool. The doctor examined me and said he saw a small tear in my colon and gave me antibiotics to prevent infection. The antibiotics prescribed, it is called ciprofloxacin. Twice a day for 10 days at 500 mg per tablet. The more I saw prescribed person while looking on the Internet is one 500 mg tablet and not twenty years. I had terrible heartburn while taking ciprofloxacin, but it has been a month since I stopped taking it and the heartburn persists. I followed with my doctor and she made me do blood work and a chest radiograph because I was not breathing very well. Nothing unusual in itself.
I could not breathe deeply according to the tests but I felt a bit like I'm panting all the time. She told me to take omeprazole for heartburn and Advair for my breathing. The Advair has helped, but omeprazole was less surprising. I went back and she also prescribed Carafate. I had an Upper GI done and they have concluded that I have gastroesophageal reflux disease in mid-esophagus.
I was always feeling full, and the doctor also prescribed me Reglan to help my stomach empty faster. I was not quite so when it comes to taking the Reglan, but I always had heartburn. She prescribed me up Aciphex omeprazole. He has contributed to the acid and the Reglan helps clear my stomach faster. The upper gastrointestinal tract excluded the possibility that I have a hiatal hernia and said I did not erode my esophagus (perhaps because it began less than a month before). The doctor referred me to a gastroenterologist and they will do an endoscopy.
The Aciphex has helped, but most of that time, I felt almost constant heartburn. There is no fighting it right after I eat, but all the time. Am I doomed to heartburn forever? I do not think I can live with that. I am just 20 years and the situation feels really helpless that I will eventually have to choose between the life of expensive drugs of this type of work or surgery that will probably make me worse than I started. Almost all food triggers heartburn. Very little seems to be exempt because I have not yet found. I sleep with my bed raised to help acid reflux stay downstairs while I sleep.
Hi all,
Do not worry, Dose Cipro is entirely appropriate. GI upset is not a type or rare side effects of Cipro.
It appears that you have more than one pathology, and you follow your GP or specialist until it is resolved.
Best wishes, Jennifer
Sorry, do not read this.
But try Pepcid AC. My mom has heartburn and it works for her. (:
ask your doctor for acid reflux disease
You are explaining the classic symptoms of muscle stuck in your back by putting pressure on the nerves going to your stomach problems there. pinched nerves in the upper back will eventually give you pain like you can not breathe. To release the muscles and nerves in the back does muscle relaxation following for you:
Back:
Place your left hand on your left leg next to your body. Place your right hand on your left shoulder and find the muscles alongside your spine and press and hold them. After 30 seconds, slowly lower your body forward, keeping your left arm pretty simple as you do. When you reach your turn to stay there for 10 seconds, release the pressure, but remain there for another 30 seconds. Then reverse the position of your hand and make your right.
No muscle or pinched nerve will appear on one of the diagnostic equipment, they have so they can drain dry just do it and end up telling you what they do they simply do not know what study the problem and you want a little more.
