Is there an equivalent generic drug Advair? What do you use to help your asthma? I take Advair for years and it is super expensive and it does not seem to work as well as in the past either. Does anyone know if works like Advair and Asmanex is it cheaper? Are there any other generic drugs to help prevent asthma? I've never had a serious crisis, but I get the sweet / wheezing OFF / ON. Does anyone use something herbal that helps with it? Thank you!
Asmanex only steroid to act as a preventative medication. You will always get thrush it if you do not rinse your mouth after use. Your doctor and pharmacist probably did not talk to you wash your mouth. If you do not get thrush. This is a brand new drug so I doubt it would be cheaper.
Advair is a steroid and a bronchodilator. It is a more effective drug. If used properly and continuously, it is a very good drug. It should be used twice a day. You may need to increase power.
Anxiety can cause a mild asthma attack. I have seen many times. One thing that can help you know the difference is to try what is called pursed-lip breathing. This is done by blowing with your lips partially closed to slow the flow of air from your lungs. Do this for several breaths and if you feel better, then it is most likely anxiety. If it does not help inhalor used your rescue must be Xopenex, albuterol, Combivent or or something like that.
If you use your inhalor rescue more than 2 times in a period of two weeks, and then use it for many and need an adjustment in medications.
Visit this webpage for more help. It is good.
There is no generic for Advair yet. I also use it. I'm about 500/50 twice daily. I have emphysema.
You probably have not had a serious attack BECAUSE you use the Advair. It is a very medicinal. But you have to ask your doctor about evolution.
Caution mixing herbal and vitamins with other medications you take. Some of them do not mix and can cause problems for you.
No, but I use Xopenex is a medication for asthma inhaler has worked very well for me. I've never had a serious asthma attack either. But I'm whistling in the chest. I do not know I had asthma until I went to a new doctor, I've never seen before. But it explains some of the symptoms I had over the years.
As far as I know one has said there is not a generic drug Advair. Also have you tired to adjust the level of Advair I began a low esteem, however nothing once moved to 500/50, it is like magic. Regarding Asthmaex (sp) works the same or better there is really no way to prove or say that until you try your body. I hope this helps Lindsay
