Generic drugs are allowed to be sold on the market until they meet the following criteria:

aec Generic drugs must be identical or bioequivalent to the original drug.
aec The pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of generic drugs should be similar to the original drug.
aec Generic drugs should be similar to the strength in comparison with the original brand name drug.
aec The drug's side effects are more or less generic than the original brand name drug.
