My doctor suggested I marajauna smoking for migraines during pregnancy ......? I took Tylenol with codeine, migraines are a serious problem, but the Tylenol 3 does not work the way it was thus suggested that smoking marijuana from time to time to help make the pain go, that that's what I do when I'm not pregnant. He said the smoke marajauna is not more harmful than tobacco smoke. There is a doc at the Mayo Clinic.
Are there any reliable sites that can corroborate this, or not so?
Your doctor is an idiot. Use your common sense. In addition, Tylenol 3 should not be used during pregnancy!
I think your doc has smoked a bit too self-pot! do not do that for your baby!
It's crazy. Request a second opinion from a doctor more credible.
I am in total disbelief by this, I do not even know why you ask this. why do not you do a bit of Reasearch on this by typing "marajauana and pregnancy" in google.
Your doctor should be fired.
Wow ... this is my only answer to this question. Just WOW ..
I can not imagine a doctor suggesting that real.
I doubt you will find lots of info about it. Did he write you a prescription or is it that you bought on the black market.
Just for me as a mother who does smoke occasionally, I would not smoke during pregnancy, I do not like how my headaches got, tobacco or marijuana? I do not want to take Tylenol 3 or !!!!!
Please tell me who is your doc! It must be pointed out! What a moron! They will take your child away for that!
Sounds like your doctor has smoked too much for too long ... if smoke marajuana is not more harmful than tobacco smoke, it does not matter - tobacco smoke is deadly!
I do not think you will find all the sites out there that confirm this statement ...
Do not smoke anything if you are pregnant, you do not need a doctor to know that, and I would suggest changing the doctor.
Everything you put in you will go to the baby.so careful what medications you are taking too.
Take care.
"The smoke marajuana is not more harmful than tobacco smoke"
I have four cousins, my aunt smoked with all four of them.
1. merged the bones of his feet
2. cardiac dysfunction has
3. has learning problems and the worst you can have a vision without being blind
4. has learning difficulties and speech problems.
To prove that this is not only their genes
I have a friend who smoked while pregnant with her son has severe learning difficulties, do not include potty training, and still will not talk to understand a complete sentence. He is six.
So I guess if you want the side effects for your baby ...
Your doctor is crazy, get a new one.
all I can say is WOW your doctor should be smoking pot itself. smoking the drug during pregnancy is a big no no
I will hear Buck curve. Migraines are horrible, terrible things to take and they need substantial synthetic drugs to fight against pain. If the medical use of marijuana works, then it may be a much less intrusive drug to administer than taggamet and morphine.
Of course, you want to use the least amount possible during pregnency safe. But I would check with a couple of other doctors. I know that some health professionals who are frustrated because they can not use this drug for medical purposes, even if it allows in some cases.
He said that when he said "its no more harmful than tobacco," and there are many studies showing that smoking is harmful to the fetus ... I think I would rather suffer migraines, so my smoke something that could harm my baby! sorry, but I have never heard a dr say to someone smoking marajauna .....
why not try meditating for migraine ... it's a bit healthier for you and your baby. I would also consider not returning to the charlatan you.
