Migraine Treatment

Migraine TreatmentThe treatment of migraine?

ok ... I ABT migraines twice a week and it lasts all day. I was wondering if there is no cure for it or if there is something someone u know EHV causes of headache and EHV somthing is better for a headache? ... Suggestions?

I am a nurse. Topamax is a medication which has helped many people with migraines. You should consult a doctor for a prescription. You can also try to take prescription drugs and many see if it helps you all. Take care.

I get migraines too .... I have 2 types, the most common (and less serious) is easily treated with pseudoephedrine and ibuprofen (Advil, such as sinus headaches). Most migraine headaches respond best to anti-inflammatory painkillers such as ibuprofen and sodium naproxem (Aleve). Mine seem to be related to the pressure in my head (not necessarily in the sinuses) and therefore works pseudoephedrine. The new decongestents who came to replace pseudoephedrine does not work at all, so I hope you are over 18 years so you can go to the pharmacy and cons of getting some stuff.

The other type I followed a very predictable pattern (the first signs to 16 hours, peak hours between 2:00 to 7:00, more than 13 hours) and disabling. I can not go to work, or barely moving, the pain is so intense. Painkillers do not work. Nothing works, except for the silence and darkness and a heating pad. Even helping a bit. They gave me a prescription for them, but it made me vomit more. Fortunately, I only get these when I go to my birth control for my time, so I just stay on birth control at all times.

Some foods can cause headaches ... aged cheese, food
nitrates such as salami or bacon, red wine. There are medications your doctor can prescribe that accumulate in your system
and reduce the frequency of your migraines and intensity of
them. There are also many drugs to stop migraines. Over the counter medications, and I used, as is
Migraine Execedrin. Good luck.

silence does not allow all to take a painkiller TKE then a nap

Hi all,

I suffer from severe migraines and have been more than ten years. I tried so many things to help and found very few who do.

I am also a nurse and I know that if you are getting frequent migraines that is considered more a month, you should go see you about perscribing Docter certain preventive medicines. Migraines are caused by the dilation of blood vessles in the scalp. Preventive treatment is designed to ensure that this does not happen.

As for the treatment of an attack on an antihistamine can be taken with a painkiller to work for the overthrow of expansion and also blocks the pain receptors that cause pain. (Advil and paracetomal). It works, but if you have severe migraines that they used me.

Coedine I found some relief, drink plenty of water and rest in peace. I also think the first thing that relieves the pain is a hard head massage or squeeze the top of your nose bridge between your fingers for thirty seconds.

Hope this helps ... but once again the best advice go to the doc and see about some preventative medicine!
