Suffering from depression. Natural Cures? I suffer from depression for several years. I have not been taking medication for it and without it, I find it more difficult to get out of bed and do it through the day. Are there any natural things I could do to alleviate my depression, or helping to cope with it better? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I certainly wish there was a "natural" remedies for depression, but there is nothing there that has a lot of research based evidence to demonstrate efficacy, even in "mild" depression. Probably the most often-counter and "natural" treatment would be St. John's wort. Yet there is little evidence that it works very well at all, and in testing very loosely.
You should discuss with your doctor or healthcare provider. There may be a large number of prescription drugs that could be very effective for you and improve your quality of life. Give it a thought, then make an appointment.

Yes The sunlight, exercise, healthy eating, and hard work.
Getting yourself with goals that are achievable and go beyond!
I suffered from depression for years and have not had a bad in about a year. Good exercise, hard work, healthy food, lots of water, vitamins, and staying busy patterns are the best you can come up with naturally.
Also, go to your vitamin or a natural food store! There are many homeopathic medicines that combat depression and even anxiety!

Sunlight and every day for at least 10min to do something we want to do. even if it's screaming at the top of your lungs. jogging, reading a book (Rick Warren The Purpose Driven Life is actually pretty good believe it or not) Im glad you made your depression, it is a start in the right direction!

Buddy you seem to need to see someone who you can talk about your feelings true. If you do not have this uncomfortable, so my best advice is to write .... Throughout routines ur, ur all feeling!

there's wort, and there is DHEA ... do your research, make your choice ... but remember, a severe clinical depression will not respond to these two things, which are milder for depression.
The drugs are necessary for severe depression. For mild depression, try changing your diet (fish, green vegetables, fish oil pills and Brazil nuts). These foods and others have been shown to boost mood in some people.
I heard the sunlight can heal it.You should get out more often do outdoor activities like baseball, soccer, even golf.Just do whatever makes you happy.
