New antidepressant??? I've been on Lexapro for about 1.5 years. now and I do not think it works very well.
Any suggestions on a new drug or replacement?? I also tried Zoloft, Wellbutrin, and I think that Lex has worked best for me so far.
And I know that everyone is delayed, I would just like some suggestions or stories as well!
Thank you
Effexor often works very well for people who have not responded well to other antidepressants.
If you find yourself taking Effexor, it is crucial to get the right dosage. I felt terrible about it for the first four weeks through three dose adjustments! Only when the dose was modified for the fourth time that Effexor has started working!
Also, some people have experienced withdrawal problems when stopping treatment, so it should never be stopped abruptly, but in the end slowly.
Prozac is also very good for relieving anxiety.
I tried to find the right one for me so far but started on Prozac I can not write, but I always feel depressed a lot, I do not want to get out of bed some days. I see a counselor every Tuesday at 11am, it helps.
Celexa has the same chemical booster as Lexapro, so it can be a good alternative for you. The only way to know what will work is to try them. There are so many SSRIs now.
