Protonix Side Effects

ok so heres the deal, I had stomach pain and poor combustion every morning during the summer, so two weeks ago my doc put me on Protonix, assuming it was a stress ulcer college. After 2 weeks of taking Protonix, my pain and nausea have been sustained throughout the day instead of just the morning! it seemed that the Protonix was much more serious disease. One night I actually slept in the bathroom, because of the pain in my upper stomach and vomiting. I found myself in the emergency Sunday for fear that I had something serious, but they could not find something and ended up sending me two prescriptions for w BENTYL and Reglan. I recently stopped taking my Protonix and have been a little better than before. Has anyone experienced bad side effects of Protonix? or whether it could be the cause of my illness? IM running out of ideas. Thank you.

1% in patients treated with pantoprazole: anxiety, arthralgia, asthenia, back pain, bronchitis, chest pain, constipation, increased cough, dizziness, dyspepsia, dyspnea, flu syndrome, gastroenteritis, abnormal gastro-intestinal, hyperlipidemia, hypertension, infection, liver function tests abnormal, migraine, neck pain nausea, pain, pharyngitis, rectal disorder, rhinitis, SGPT increased, sinusitis, respiratory infection, the frequency urinary tract infection urinary tract, and vomiting.

Other treatment-emergent adverse events observed in less than 1% of patients treated with pantoprazole for these tests are listed below by system organ. In most cases, the relationship to pantoprazole was unclear.

Reaction BODY AS A WHOLE: abscess, allergic, chills, cyst, face edema, fever, generalized edema, heat stroke, hernia, laboratory test abnormal, malaise, moniliasis, neoplasm, adverse drug reaction unspecified photosensitivity.

Cardiovascular: abnormal electrocardiogram, angina pectoris, arrhythmia, atrial fibrillation / flutter, cardiovascular disorder, chest pain substernal, congestive heart failure, hemorrhage, hypertension, hypotension, myocardial infarction, myocardial ischemia, palpitation, retinal vascular disorder, syncope, tachycardia, thrombophlebitis, thrombosis, vasodilatation.

Digestive: anorexia, aphthous stomatitis, cardio, colitis, dry mouth, duodenitis, dysphagia, enteritis, hemorrhage of the esophagus, esophagitis, gastrointestinal cancer, gastrointestinal hemorrhage, gastrointestinal moniliasis, gingivitis , glossitis, halitosis, hematemesis, increased appetite, melena, mouth ulceration, oral candidiasis, periodontal abscess, periodontitis, rectal hemorrhage, stomach ulcer, stomatitis, stools abnormal, tongue discoloration, ulcerative colitis.

Endocrine: diabetes mellitus, glycosuria, goiter.

Blood and Lymphatic: anemia, ecchymosis, eosinophilia, hypochromic anemia, iron deficiency anemia, leukocytosis, leukopenia, thrombocytopenia.

Metabolic and Nutritional: dehydration, edema, gout, peripheral edema, thirst, weight gain, weight loss.

Musculoskeletal: arthritis, arthrosis, bone disorder, bone pain, bursitis, joint disorder, leg cramps, stiff neck, myalgia, tenosynovitis.

Nervous: abnormal dreams, confusion, convulsions, depression, dry mouth, dysarthria, emotional lability, hallucinations, hyperkinesia, hypesthesia, decreased libido, nervousness, neuralgia, neuritis, neuropathy, paresthesia, decreased reflexes, impaired sleep, drowsiness, abnormal thinking, tremor, vertigo.

RESPIRATORY SYSTEM: asthma, epistaxis, hiccup, laryngitis, lung disorder, pneumonia, voice alteration.

Skin and Appendages: acne, alopecia.
