What a patient can expect?

A patient can expect to have either local anesthesia with anti-anxiety, or if the treatment area is large (as a whole face), the patient may receive general anesthesia. Although there is generally little or no bleeding involved with skin resurfacing laser, the patient must wait for his skin to be swollen and red for at least a few days after surgery. The amount of time it takes to heal depends on the extent of the surgery was.

After the transaction is completed, the patient should wash his face (no soap) several times a day with cold water to keep the face to develop a crispy layer and help prevent infection. The patient should also avoid exposure to sunlight for a long time after laser skin resurfacing.
