How can you tell the difference between GERD symptoms and acid reflux is a problem with the aorta? I was strong, stabbing pains in upper stomach (and a host of other symptoms) for a few months now and they seem to be deteriorating. How can I differentiate GERD or acid reflux type symptoms, and something like aortic stenosis or aortic dissection.
I'm not sure, but if you let me know:) I had a constant feeling full in my upper stomach in recent days and its done my head in. I do not have much appetite, but the sensation of satiety, had a bad stomach a week ago. I went to my GP and he gave me some Merbentyl as he said he should calm things down and he thought it was just a bug I have, but I'm not convinced.
