What is the expiration of a prescription of Tussionex Susp Pennkinetic? I have neither the flu or bronchitis or similar and have a burning pain in the throat and cough and want to take some of my prescribed Tussionex on 27/12/2005. It's almost a year later - 12/11/2006. it is always good / safe to take? Thank you for any information you can provide.
Expiration dates are to be early, because companies know that people do not strictly follow the dates. Therefore, it is built in grace period, typically six months to a year. Nevertheless, we must consider what the medicine because of the drugs do not break down faster than others. Ingredients Tussionex are fairly stable and should be OK - that is, they are still good, and they are still good.
Never take prescriptions for anything other than what your doctor has prescribed for them.
You may have pneumonia, too, so your condition requires medical attention. If it's pneumonia, you need antibiotics. Expectorant cough cons will help you some of this garbage that is in your lungs, but the infection can and will spread.
Talk to your doctor and see what he or she said after checking into the office. Your medication may be past its useful life, and I know that some drugs are harmful once they have reached their expiry date.
You can not be harmed by drugs obsolete, but the chemicals do not degrade in over time. The strength you need can not be present. You should see a doctor and get a new prescription or see if the old drugs is still in full effect.
