Why would they ask a store clerk to issue and share with them their health on wines that are dry to a hard gives them heartburn or other type of stomach problems? Should we ask their doctor or pharmacist before they ask these kinds of questions just to be sure of their health concern?

Many beverages stimulate acid secretion, like beer, wine and pop, worst of all is the beer. It could double your stomach acid within an hour.

This probably should be addressed to a doctor and not a store employee. I think they are looking for someone else's opinion.

Although many people say that red wine is the worst for acid reflux, I get the worst reaction of dry white wines and dry red wines. The higher the index is sugar, the best that I can cope. Semi-sweet, like Gewurztraminer, Riesling and Muscat Concordes, or softer or sparkling Lambruscos seem more tolerable with a case of acid reflux, so I drink. The smart thing would be to avoid all together, but I'm sure your customers are not looking for a conference. I hope this helps.

The fermentation of wine contains a ton of lactic acid.

This can add to stomach acid and aggravate the problem.

So, no wine will be acid free. The best thing to do would be to obtain a dry (non-sweet) white wine wines since then have read more acidic compounds and sugar in them can sometimes worse the problem.

It would also be wise to take ant-acids before drinking wine.
